Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson will not use the absence of Wilfried Zaha as an excuse as his side battle against the threat of relegation. Palace lost 3-1 at Everton on Saturday afternoon.
|The campaign that has been mounted against Wilf is having an influence and that is sad if it is the case,
said Hodgson. I think he is a player who stays on his feet more than most.
This year he has added goals to his game, but we need to start chipping in with others or we will rely on him too much,
Hodgson told Sky Sports .
At the moment, we still consider him to be our best option in that position,
Hodgson said. It depends what your options are, doesn't it? Had we had other options, maybe we might have considered those.
I don't quite know what I can do about it until such time as we play a game without Wilf and win,
Hodgson said after the game.
