Winger aware that Red Devils cannot afford to drop any points

Ashley Young says Manchester United are ready to step up their title charge, with the club targeting a perfect finish to the Premier League season. The Red Devils claimed a crucial 3-1 victory over Tottenham on Sunday to remain within touching distance of table-topping Manchester City. Just two points separate the fierce rivals with 11 games of the campaign to go. It has been suggested that the destination of the title could be decided in what promises to be an epic battle between United and City at the Etihad Stadium on 30th April. There are, however, plenty of fixtures to come before then and both clubs know they cannot afford any untimely wobbles. Young insists United are capable of winning every game they go into, with the pressure now firmly on City to keep their noses in front. "Any time they slip up and we can take advantage, then we will," the England international said in The Sun.

Concentration

"We'll keep pegging them back. As Paul Scholes said the other day, we think we'll have to win every game. "So as long as we keep doing that, we'll be okay. We'll just concentrate on ourselves, take each game as it comes. "We've just had two tough away games at Tottenham and Norwich. Every game between now and the end will be tough." Young was among the goals at White Hart Lane on Sunday and says he is ready to play his part in United's quest for a 20th top flight crown, with his form and fitness having returned following a recent spell on the sidelines. He said: "I'm getting back to my best. Any player is disappointed when he's injured. I've needed to get myself back fit. "I'm ready to go and champing at the bit now. I want to play every game. We have to play each game as it comes but it's exciting times."
