Andy Carroll will be rested for West Ham's Carabao Cup third-round tie at home to Bolton on Tuesday evening.
The England striker has suffered from a string of injuries in recent years but is now back fit and will be given the night off to rest up ahead of the weekend visit of rivals Tottenham.
West Ham manager Slaven Bilic is likely to make some changes as captain Mark Noble is expected to start following a knee injury.
Marko Arnautovic could also make his first start since his return from suspension.
Bolton boss Phil Parkinson saw his side slump to another defeat at Ipswich on Saturday which left them bottom of the Sky Bet Championship. Adam Armstrong, Adam Le Fondre and Aaron Wilbraham are likely to figure after coming off the bench at Portman Road.
Dorian Dervite and Darren Pratley are also in contention as Parkinson looks to shuffle his squad.
These two sides have met five times in the League Cup with West Ham winning the first two encounters and Bolton winning the five since.
Indeed, the last meeting between these two sides was in the third round in 2009-10, with Bolton claiming victory in extra-time.
The Hammers have progressed into the next round in five of the last six games against lower league opposition, losing out to Sheffield United in August 2014 on penalties.
Bolton have lost three of their last four League Cup encounters with Premier League opponents (W1) - each of those three losses have come in London.
West Ham have won each of their two League Cup games at the London Stadium; a 1-0 win against Accrington and a 2-1 victory against current Premier League champions Chelsea.
