West Brom v Watford preview: Miguel Britos returns from suspension

WATFORD, ENGLAND - AUGUST 26: Referee Graham Scott shows a red card to Miguel Britos of Watford during the Premier League match between Watford and Bright

Watford's Miguel Britos is available again following a three-match suspension for the Premier League match at West Brom on Saturday.

The Uruguay international was banned following his red-card challenge against Brighton in August, missing wins over Southampton and Swansea and a heavy 6-0 defeat to Manchester City.

Watford have been away-day specialists this season with three victories from three league games but West Brom are unbeaten at The Hawthorns.

West Brom have struggled in recent weeks, though, failing to win a league game since their 1-0 victory at Burnley on August 19 and manager Tony Pulis expects a difficult game against Watford.

Pulis said: "He [Marco Silva] has a better horse to ride this year than last year [when Silva was in charge at Hull].

"He's been backed - they've spent quite a bit of money. They look a very capable team and it'll be a tough game."

West Brom boss Tony Pulis has denied calling Alexis Sanchez a cheat but stands by his view that the Arsenal player dived to win a free-kick against his side.

Team news

Nacer Chadli (thigh) and Oliver Burke (hamstring) have resumed training but are lacking match sharpness.

Britos is back for Watford but Nathaniel Chalobah faces a spell on the sidelines after it was confirmed he needed surgery on a knee injury.

Sebastian Prodl (thigh) is stepping up his rehabilitation, but Younes Kaboul (hamstring) is not expected back until after the international break.

Merson's prediction

West Brom were extremely unlucky against Arsenal on Monday. First up, I thought it was a stonewall penalty and then they created some brilliant chances. However, if they get the penalty and convert it, it becomes an entirely different game with the pressure shifting onto Arsenal.

That being said I thought they did okay and they can build on that performance against Watford. Meanwhile, Watford have made an excellent start to the season and they've been outstanding away from home.

However, I just have to side with West Brom here. I can see them making things extremely tight and nicking a win through a set piece.

PAUL PREDICTS: 1-0 (9/2 with Sky Bet)

Betting

West Brom are Sky Bet's 6/5 favourites for the victory with Watford priced at 5/2, while the draw is a 21/10 chance. Salomon Rondon heads a wide-open first goalscorer market at 11/2, with Andre Gray considered the visitors' main threat at 6/1 to net first.

West Brom v Watford is included in this weekend's Super 6 line-up, with £250,000 up for grabs again.
