Peterborough will make a late decision on Ryan Tafazolli and Leo Da Silva Lopes for the visit of Blackburn.
Both men picked up knocks in the Checkatrade Trophy win over Southend but returned to training on Friday and boss Grant McCann hopes they will be fit. Liam Shephard has had a setback in his recovery from a groin injury and now faces an extra two weeks out. Forward Junior Morias (thigh) remains out.
Blackburn's Elliott Bennett begins his four-match ban after picking up a second red card of the season. Bennett's absence could open the door for Craig Conway, who could make his return after more than two months out with a hamstring strain.
Harry Chapman (hamstring) and Ben Gladwin (knee) are out but there is a surfeit of options in attack. Dominic Samuel and Danny Graham both scored in the FA Cup game against Crewe, with Joe Nuttall also vying for the centre-forward slot.
This will be only the fifth encounter between these two teams in the EFL and the first in the third-tier since February 1975; Blackburn have never kept a clean sheet in the four previous matches (W1 L3).
There have been ten goals in the last two league meetings between these two teams in the Championship 2012/13 season (four for Peterborough, six for Blackburn; one win each).
Only the top two sides in the League One Table, Wigan Athletic and Shrewsbury Town, have won more home games in the division this season (seven) than Peterborough (six), although the Posh have lost three of their last five at the ABAX Stadium.
Since the start of November, no side has picked up more points in League One than Blackburn Rovers who won all four of their league matches last month (12 points earned, level with Scunthorpe United). They haven't won five league games in a row since November 2000 in the second tier (six straight wins).
