Darren Fletcher out of Scotland's World Cup Qualifiers with knee injury

Darren Fletcher has withdrawn from the Scotland squad for the World Cup qualifying double-header against Lithuania and Malta with a knee injury.

The Stoke midfielder did not travel to Vilnius with Gordon Strachan's squad on Thursday ahead of Friday night's crunch Group F fixture, live on Sky Sports Football.

Before his side trained at the LFF Stadium, Strachan admitted the 33-year-old midfielder would be a loss.
