Fernando Llorente has returned to Swansea training after fracturing his arm but remains out of contention for Manchester United’s Premier League visit on Saturday, live on Sky Sports Premier League.
The Spanish striker, who scored 15 goals in 33 Premier League appearances for the Swans last season, missed Swansea's opening top flight fixture of the campaign due to the injury.
The 32-year-old former Athletic Bilbao and Juventus player, who finished as Swansea's top scorer following his £5m move from Sevilla last summer, could make his return against Crystal Palace the following Saturday.
"Crystal Palace is a possibility. We will see," Swansea head coach Paul Clement told the club's official website.
"Because of the nature of the injury to the arm, he lost a lot of upper-body bulk. He managed as well as possible to maintain his cardio-fitness, but he is going to have to rebuild that upper-body strength which he wasn't able to work on while the arm was fractured.
"We will take it day by day with him. Hopefully he will respond well to the training and will be available soon."
Llorente has been a target for Chelsea and former boss Antonio Conte but Clement was adamant, last week, that the Welsh club will retain the services of the influential Spain international.
"I'm confident he will [stay] because of the conversations I've had with Fernando," Clement said. "He's happy here, he likes the work we're doing, and he likes the way we play.
"He's a really good player and it's a shame with the injury he got in the summer. It's a freak one and he did finish off the season strongly. His goals were vital and we want to have him as an option."
Swansea opened their domestic league campaign with a goalless draw against Southampton at St Mary's on Saturday.
