Harry Redknapp completed his 14th and final Birmingham signing of the summer transfer window by bringing in Liam Walsh on loan from Everton.

The 19-year-old ball-playing midfielder will be at St Andrew's until January next year after completing a late move in the final hour of Deadline Day.

Walsh was born on Merseyside and has been with Everton since the age of five, but is eligible to play for both England and Italy.

Birmingham also oversaw late exits on Deadline Day, with both Clayton Donaldson and Maikel Kieftenbeld moving to rival Sky Bet Championship clubs.

Donaldson, 33, has joined Sheffield United for an undisclosed fee, ending his three-year spell with the Blues, while Kieftenbeld linked up with former Birmingham manager Gary Rowett at Derby.

Birmingham rejected three bids from Derby for David Davis, before Rowett turned his attention to Kieftenbeld.
