Birmingham City have signed Turkey international winger Kerim Frei from Besiktas for a fee of £2.2m.
Frei, who has five international caps to his name and has played Premier League football with Fulham, has signed a three-and-a-half-year contract at St Andrew's.
He becomes the fourth player to be added to the Blues squad in the current transfer window, following Cheick Keita (Virtus Entella), Emilio Nsue (Middlesbrough) and Craig Gardner (West Brom).
Frei was born in Austria but grew up in Switzerland and played youth football for Swiss side Grasshoppers, before making the switch to England in 2010 to join Fulham's youth academy.
His debut for the Cottagers came at the age of just 17 when he played in their Europa League fixture against Runavik.
Following a loan at Cardiff City he went on to make 33 appearances at Craven Cottage, 23 of which came in the Premier League.
After three years with the Londoners, Frei was snapped up by Besiktas for a reported fee of £3m.
He subsequently went on to make 83 appearances and score seven goals for the Turkish giants, including nine appearances so far this campaign.
