Petr Cech will begin his quest for the goalkeeping jersey at Arsenal when he makes his debut in the Barclays Asia Trophy final against Everton on Saturday.

Manager Arsene Wenger rested 10 of his 27-man squad - including 33-year-old Cech - during the 4-0 win against a Singapore Select XI on Wednesday.

But the summer signing from Chelsea, who will hope to displace Wojciech Szczesny and David Ospina in goal at the Emirates, has been hard at work in training ahead of Saturday's Sky Live clash.

Wenger confirmed that the nine players he left out of the comprehensive win at the National Stadium will be involved against the Toffees.

"I will rotate a bit because the week after we play two games again," the Frenchman told Arsenal's official website.

"For me at the moment the [objective is] to give competition to the players without overloading them and [for them] to be capable to work hard in training and to work on their fitness. If they play too many games, you cannot work in training."

"I have not decided (on the team) yet but you will see them of course. They didn’t play today because they just came back on Friday and I wanted them to have at least one week of preparation before the first game."

Cceh was among a group of Arsenal players who enjoyed the Singapore sights on Thursday as he got to know his new team-mates.

England youth star Chuba Akpom also took in the city's Gardens by the Bay and has been tipped to push himself into the first-team picture after stealing the show with a hat-trick on Wednesday.

"No. he won't be going out on loan," said Wenger. "I sent him out on loan last year because I thought he needed that.

"He’s a young player and it can lift confidence. The confidence you sense in the dressing room from other players is important as well."

Olivier Giroud, MIkel Arteta and Mesut Ozil were others star names who enjoyed the trip ahead of their afternoon training session.

The players were given a tour of the Flower Dome - the world’s largest greenhouse - and posed by Singapore's man-made 'supertrees' before indulging in a spot of head tennis.
