All the latest Arsenal transfer news and rumours from across the British and European press on Tuesday, July 18.
Arsenal are reportedly looking to sell eight fringe players before deciding whether to break their transfer record for the second time this summer to sign Monaco's Thomas Lemar.
The Daily Mail say Lemar "remains at the top of Arsene Wenger's wish-list", even though Monaco do not want to sell the 21-year-old.
Apparently, the Gunners think Monaco could be persuaded to sell for a fee of £80m, including add-ons.
The players that Arsenal could reportedly look to sell to raise funds are: Kieran Gibbs, Carl Jenkinson, Wojciech Szczesny, Calum Chambers, Lucas Perez, Jack Wilshere, Mathieu Debuchy and Olivier Giroud.
The Daily Mail also claim Alexis Sanchez wants to join Manchester City and thinks Arsenal will eventually let him move to a Premier League rival.
The report says Sanchez has been told that offers from City will not be considered, but that his camp "believe they hold the upper hand" in the transfer saga, with only a year left on the Chilean's contract.
Crystal Palace are planning to make a loan move for Jack Wilshere, according to The Sun.
Wilshere is out of contract at the end of the season and will reportedly only move on loan if he signs a new deal. It is reported that he came close to joining Palace last summer before moving to Bournemouth on loan.
