Adam Lallana has stepped up his rehabilitation from a thigh injury at Liverpool's training ground.
Lallana is yet to feature this season after damaging a thigh muscle during a friendly with Atletico Madrid at the beginning of August.
Jurgen Klopp ruled out his England midfielder "for a couple of months", and with that deadline approaching Lallana was able to run outside at Melwood on Thursday.
Speaking to the Liverpool website earlier this month, Lallana confirmed his recovery was going to plan.
"I'm getting on well - slowly but surely in the background," he said. "I'm well into the way on my rehab now and it's going as well as it can. I'm obviously looking forward to being back."
The competition for midfield spots at Anfield has increased in his absence, with Klopp sanctioning a £40m move for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on transfer deadline day.
