Eden Hazard has been called up for Belgium's upcoming World Cup Qualifiers - even though he has not made an appearance for Chelsea this season.

The Blues forward fractured his ankle in training while on international duty in June and has subsequently missed his side's pre-season preparations, their Community Shield loss and opening Premier League fixtures.

Despite that, the 26-year-old has been included in Roberto Martinez's group for their qualifiers against Gibraltar on August 31 and Greece on September 3.

Hazard took part and scored in Chelsea's 8-0 friendly win over Queens Park Rangers at the club's training ground on August 18.

Chelsea had a stuttering start to their Premier League title defence as they lost 3-2 at home to Burnley on the opening day of the season but followed that up with a 2-1 win over Tottenham at Wembley.
