European Paper Talk: Man Utd to swoop for Gareth Bale if Real Madrid sign Kylian Mbappe?

The summer transfer window is in full flow and clubs across Europe are making moves as they look to piece together the squads they need in time for the start of the season.

Our friends at Football Whispers round-up the latest transfer news from the European papers...

SPAIN

Real have agreed a €160m plus €20m in bonuses, or €150m plus €30m deal for Monaco sensation Kylian Mbappe. The 18-year-old striker will earn around €7m a year. Whatever the deal is, it would see the teenager man become the most-expensive player ever. There is talk of the Spanish side letting him return to Ligue 1 for another season, but the player is apparently excited to move now. (Marca)

Should Mbappe arrive at the Bernabeu this summer, there are suggestions Manchester United will make another move for Gareth Bale. Jose Mourinho is trying to 'woo' the Welshman and he has 'opened the door' to a move to Old Trafford. After the ongoing transfer saga of Ivan Perisic, the club are in the market for a left winger, a position that Bale would fit perfectly. (Marca)

New signing Danilo has admitted it wasn't difficult to decide between Man City and Chelsea this summer. Los Blancos coach Zinedine Zidane tried to convince him to stay at Real, but the Brazilian had already made his mind up to move. He made his decision because he believes City have a chance to win the Champions League. (AS)

Gerard Pique has admitted in a press conference the picture he posted on Instagram, announcing Neymar was staying at Barcelona, wasn't official confirmation. The PSG transfer target could make one of the biggest moves in football history and the Spanish defender has come clean that it was just his 'personal opinion'. (AS)

ITALY

Still looking for that last piece of the puzzle, Milan are continuing the hunt for a striker. Reports suggest Diego Costa and Radamel Falcao are on their radar and the club is planning to make an approach for one of those top-class forwards. (Gazzetta dello Sport)

After being linked with a move for Chelsea's Nemanja Matic, it seems PSG's Blaise Matuidi is top of Juventus' summer wishlist. Max Allegri wants the 30-year-old Frenchman and they believe he is a better and cheaper option. The France international is available for €20m. (Gazzetta dello Sport)

Bayern Munich outcast Renato Sanches wants a move to Milan this summer. "I don't play much at Bayern, the Rossoneri option is a good opportunity, because I'd have more space," he said. FRANCE

Real Madrid and Monaco have agreed a fee for Mbappe, but it's more than was reported on Tuesday with the deal broken down to €180m plus €20m in bonuses. There is also a suggestion Manchester City have made a €180m bid. But they would have to go higher again if they want to be included in the bidding war. (L'Equipe)

Jean Michael Seri has again been linked with Arsenal. The Ivorian midfielder enjoyed an excellent campaign for Nice and only Thomas Lemar - the Gunners' other target - managed more assists in Ligue 1. Nice have agreed to let the 26-year-old leave for €40m this summer. Roma were keen to finalise a deal, but couldn't meet the release clause. (L'Equipe)

To sign Neymar, Paris Saint-Germain must reduce their wage bill by more than €30m, which could see up to six players leaving the French capital. Angel Di Maria, reported Arsenal target Lucas Moura, Hatem Ben Arfa, Jese Rodriguez, Grzegorz Krychowiak and Serge Aurier are the candidates to move on. (L'Equipe)

Rennes are close to sealing a €17m move for former Newcastle United transfer target Ismaila Sarr this week. However, to fund the deal, they are looking to sell Adama Diakhaby for €10m. The 21-year-old forward has been offered to Monaco, Lille and Newcastle. (L'Equipe)

After signing Dani Alves, Neymar has reportedly asked PSG to sign Philippe Coutinho, Alexis Sanchez, another player of similar quality and keep Lucas Moura. It's difficult to see how all those moves would be possible while meeting FFP regulations, but everyone is allowed a wish-list. (Le Parisien)

GERMANY

James Rodriguez is doing his best to win over Bayern Munich fans, telling them he didn't hesitate to move to Germany and that Bayern are as big a club as Real. "I saw the team and I thought, 'there are as many stars here as in Madrid, the quality is similar'." (SportBild)

After rejecting multiple offers from Liverpool for Naby Keita, there are now suggestions the Bundesliga club are actively looking for direct replacements for the 22-year-old. Liverpool haven't given up and are understood to be preparing another bid. (Bild)
