Sean Dyche gives his reaction to Burnley's Premier League defeat to West Brom.

Sean Dyche has insisted that he isn't concerned by his team's profligacy in front of goal after their 1-0 defeat to West Brom at Turf Moor.

Burnley peppered their opponents goal by having their joint-highest number of shots in a Premier League fixture with 20 but remarkably only one of those attempts forced Ben Foster into a save.

And the hosts were punished for their lack of potency when Hal Robson-Kanu scored the winning goal with 71 minutes on the clock.

But Dyche refused to blame his side for their wayward shooting and was adamant that they deserved something from their first home game of the season.

He said: "I thought we were very good today, at least decent, and I think that we deserved to get something from the game.

Burnley 0-1 West Brom

"It was one of those days today we created enough to get something, sometimes you get something and sometimes you don't.

"I wouldn't be overly concerned, we beat Chelsea last week and we didn't have that many efforts. You have to have efforts to score goals and I'd be more concerned if we weren't having efforts on goal.

"We did have a few very good chances and created great situations and that's the only real bugbear from today."

Last weekend Burnley stunned the Premier League champions by winning 3-2 at Stamford Bridge but they found it much harder to score against a defensively resolute West Brom defence at home.

Sam Vokes has been in a rich vein of form scoring six goals in his previous six league outings but the sale of Andre Gray to Watford has left Dyche short of firepower.

However, Burnley do appear to be closing in on a new signing as Sky Sports News understands that they have agreed a £15m deal with Leeds United for Chris Wood, who top-scored in the Championship last season with 27 goals.
