After Mo Diame's freak goal for Newcastle, Sky Sports counts down five fluky strikes - including a Frank Lampard 'finish'.
Newcastle's late comeback win over Brighton on Tuesday night saw them move two points clear of the Seagulls in the race for the Sky Bet Championship title, but it was inspired by rather fortuitous circumstances.
After Glenn Murray put Brighton ahead early on from the spot, Newcastle finally drew level in the 81st minute when Diame - either through sheer genius or complete luck - flicked the ball over a crowded penalty area and into the net, setting his side on course to nick a late winner too.
But was his goal the luckiest seen in recent times? There are a host of other strikes which have caught the eye, not so much for their trickery but more their sorcery as they have left defences dumbfounded.
Frank Lampard's lucky goal got the better of former Chelsea team-mate Didier Drogba and his old Montreal side in the MLS, while former Newcastle striker Papiss Cisse scored a bizarre goal for Chinese club Shandong Luneng.
MK Dons' George Williams' cross somehow found its way into the top corner against Bradford on Tuesday, while Carlos Carmona's header for Sporting Gijon is surely one of the strangest seen in La Liga.
