Callum Wilson attributes his controversial equaliser to 'a little touch of magic' as he reacts to Bournemouth's 3-3 draw with West Ham

Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson says a little touch of "magic" helped him score a controversial late equaliser against West Ham.

He headed home a cross from Nathan Ake in the 93rd minute - although the ball appeared to take a nick off his hand - but it was initially flagged for offside by linesman Simon Long.

However, Bobby Madley went over to his colleague to discuss the decision and after a minute or two, signalled that the goal would stand despite two contentious incidents.

After the game, Wilson discussed his view on the goal, saying: "Sometimes you get those decisions against you and I've just tried to go in as a striker and get the ball in. I put a little touch on it, to our delight, but not so much for West Ham."

Bournemouth 3-3 West Ham

When questioned by Sky Sports about what touch he got onto the ball, the striker cheekily replied: "Magic."

He went on to add: "It was eventful. It seems to be the way against West Ham, we always have high scoring games, although not always to our liking.

"It was disappointing not to get the three points, we were playing really well up until the slip and then it's about character to get back into the game then."
