Craig Shakespeare says he hopes Leicester's 6-1 defeat by Tottenham is just a "one-off" after a disappointing night at the King Power Stadium.
Harry Kane scored four goals, including two late on, while Heung-Min Son netted twice as Leicester were comprehensively beaten in their penultimate game of the season.
Shakespeare said that although Spurs had more quality, his Leicester side were not at the races, and he expects more in their final Premier League game at home to Bournemouth on Sunday.
Shakespeare told Sky Sports: "We haven't had many performances like that, they have been excellent in the time I've been in charge. Hopefully this is a one-off, we need to put it right now for Sunday, because we want to finish as high as we can, but tonight was very disappointing.
"I would expect us to defend better than that as a team, however, but we came up against some quality movement tonight in Tottenham. By all accounts we were beaten by the better team, but to be beat by that shoreline sometimes hurts even more.
"We'd expect to put in a better performance, and be more competitive than we were tonight. The third goal seemed to drain us, and that is something I'll need to look at fairly quickly now.
"We came up against a very good Tottenham side. We didn't have the energy or desire to make tackles, and of course I take full responsibility for that."
Asked again whether he will be in charge beyond the summer, Shakespeare said: "I don't know, you'd have to ask the owners. It's not for me to answer that.
"We need to put in a performance on Sunday, because the fans have gone away disappointed tonight, and the players are too, so we need to turn that around."
