Sean Dyche has questioned the decision to award Manchester City a penalty during Burnley's 3-0 defeat at the Etihad.
City opened the scoring on Saturday after referee Roger East penalised goalkeeper Nick Pope for an apparent trip on Bernardo Silva.
Sergio Aguero stepped up to convert and City went on to record their 11th straight win in all competitions thanks to late goals by Nicolas Otamendi and Leroy Sane.
Dyche, who said top scorer Chris Wood was forced off in the first half with "muscle tightness", was surprised by referee East's decision.
"They are a fine side and they came out worthy winners in the end," the Burnley boss said. "But it doesn't help when you have a decision like that go against you.
"The challenge is there for all to see and there is contact but it is minor at best. To get that high in the air from that contact is interesting.
"The referee is under pressure now to give those moments. We didn't get one last week with Wood - there was a definite penalty that wasn't given. This week this one gets given and I'm amazed the referee has managed to see it.
"It was that minor. We just hope that over the season we get back the ones we haven't had."
Wood limped off with a suspected hamstring injury after 20 minutes but Dyche remains hopeful Burnley will not be without their main striker for long.
"That [injury] affected our game-plan," he added. "Wood came over and said, 'It's tight'. So we are hopeful that it is not gone and that it can settle down quickly.
"We were pretty resolute first half because with their players they are always going to create a chance. Our goalkeeper made a couple of good saves and we defended well but overall they have so many effective ways of attacking it is difficult.
"You need everything to go for you, the decisions, the feel of the game, them not quite being as good and us being very good. A few of them were off today."
