Eddie Nketiah has called his match-winning home debut "a dream come true" as his two goals sealed a Carabao Cup victory for Arsenal.
The 18-year-old was introduced by Arsene Wenger in the 85th minute and equalised for the hosts against Norwich just 15 seconds after coming on.
As the game went to extra-time, he netted the winning strike in the 96th minute to see Arsenal win 2-1 and book a spot in the quarter-finals as the home fans chanted his name.
The game marked his first start at the Emirates, having already featured for the Gunners against BATE Borisov in the Europa League this season, and it was a dream start for the teenager.
"I'm just delighted to make my home debut and score two goals to win the game for Arsenal. It's a great feeling for me and my family," Nketiah told Sky Sports after the game.
"To hear the fans screaming my name, it's been a childhood dream for me. Hopefully it's just the start and you will see many more goals and better performances from me.
"It made me feel very privileged to be welcomed by the fans. It's a dream come true. I just want to continue impressing the fans and making them happy because they mean a lot to the club and to me."
There were many congratulations for the youngster on Twitter, including former Arsenal forward Thierry Henry who said he was 'not surprised at all' by the performance.
It promoted a heartfelt reply from Nketiah, thanking the Sky Sports pundit and saying that the tweet 'means a lot'.
