The latest Arsenal transfer news and rumours from across the British and European press on Thursday, August 3.
Arsenal's £35m move for midfielder Jean Michael Seri could depend on Nice's Champions League qualification, according to ESPN.
The Gunners have been linked with a move for the 26-year-old with French newspaper L'Equipe claiming Arsene Wenger's side are in pole position to complete the signing.
But it could hinge on whether Nice, who reached the Champions League play-off round on Wednesday, qualify for the group stages.
Meanwhile, Jack Wilshere wants to stay and try to salvage his flagging Arsenal career, according to the Daily Telegraph.
Wilshere, who spent last season on loan at Bournemouth, returned to full training this week following his broken leg.
The 25-year-old is out of contract next summer and the report suggests that while Arsenal have not offered him a new contract, the midfielder still thinks he has a future at the Emirates Stadium.
