All the latest Man Utd transfer news and rumours from across the British and European press on Friday, July 28.

Gareth Bale could be allowed to leave Real Madrid - and that has put Jose Mourinho on red alert, reports the Daily Mirror.

Manchester United have been interested in the Wales winger for a while and are said to have failed with a late £100m bid when he joined Real Madrid in 2013.

But Madrid's pursuit of Monaco hotshot Kylian Mbappe has cast doubt over Bale's future and given United fresh hope of bringing him to Old Trafford.

United's hopes of signing Ivan Perisic have received a boost after Inter Milan boss Luciano Spalletti admitted the Italian club could not keep the winger against his will.

"For me the talk is always the same when it comes to him," Spalletti said.

"He's strong, he's a player I want to keep with me, but then we must consider the opinion of the club and the player."
