We try to put as much into perspective as we can, said head coach Graham Potter. You watch the game between the Netherlands and Japan and they are two really, really good teams. The players are honest and have always taken responsibility. It's not really the time for second-guessin...
Maybe in England we have taken it for granted because we usually qualify, said Potter. But the reality is that many countries do not, so it is special when they do.
Obviously [I'm] really disappointed. I thought we did lots of good things in the game, Potter said. But obviously defensively you can't concede that many and hope to win. But we'll learn a lot from them. We're playing against a good team.
It's fair to say it probably hasn't gone as well as he or anybody would've liked, said Potter. We sometimes make the assumption that when you sign a player, automatically, it's going to improve everything.
