Maybe in England we have taken it for granted because we usually qualify, said Potter. But the reality is that many countries do not, so it is special when they do.
Obviously [I'm] really disappointed. I thought we did lots of good things in the game, Potter said. But obviously defensively you can't concede that many and hope to win. But we'll learn a lot from them. We're playing against a good team.
It's fair to say it probably hasn't gone as well as he or anybody would've liked, said Potter. We sometimes make the assumption that when you sign a player, automatically, it's going to improve everything.
We keep speaking to him and asking him how he was, said Potter. Alexander has got that ability to look really, really, really tired, and then all of a sudden the ball comes to him and he comes alive and looks like he could play another two games.
