Gareth Bale to miss two Wales friendlies as Real Madrid chief Zinedine Zidane wants the frontman to focus on regaining full fitness
Ex-Spurs flier is training again after five weeks out with a calf injury and will also sit out Sunday's La Liga clash with Las Palmas
REAL MADRID have told Gareth Bale to miss Wales' two friendlies next week - to focus on his fitness fight.
The former Tottenham flier, 28 has just returned to training after five weeks out with a calf injury.
But he will miss Real's La Liga clash at home to Las Palmas on Sunday.
Skysports.com report Real chief Zinedine Zidane as saying: "He won't be in the squad (for this weekend) and he won't go with his national team.
"After 35 days with his injury, he has had two training sessions, and we want him to stay here to be ready as soon as possible."
Wales travel to France on Friday, November 10. Chris Coleman's men then host Panama four days later.
But Zidane, of course, will be concentrating on the mini-crisis at the Bernabeu.
KROO MEMBER Jose Mourinho makes Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos Manchester United’s No1 priority next summer
The European champs are wobbling in the Champions League group stage after Spurs shocked them 3-1 at Wembley in midweek.
And Real are only third in La Liga, already eight points adrift of Barcelona and seven behind Valencia.
Meanwhile, Germany midfielder Toni Kroos is reportedly the THIRD Real player on the radar of Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho.
Mourinho has long admired Bale and Fifa's world player of the year Cristiano Ronaldo.
But now Kroos has become United's leading target for next summer, according to Calciomercato.
