Javier Hernandez to undergo West Ham medical on Monday ahead of £16million move
Hernandez set to complete switch to London Stadium as Hammers prepare to announce Marko Arnautovic deal
JAVIER HERNANDEZ will undergo his West Ham medical on Monday ahead of his £16million move back to the Premier League.
The former Manchester United and Real Madrid striker has flown to London this weekend as he closes in on his return to the English game.
Personal terms have been agreed with the 29-year-old Mexican, and only the formality of the medical remains.
Hernandez will then sign a four-year-deal worth £140,000-a-week to make him the highest paid player in the club's history.
His capture will complete a frantic period of business at the London Stadium, which saw Joe Hart arrive on a season-long loan deal from Manchester City last week.
The club are also planning to announce the £24.5million signing of Stoke attacker Marko Arnautovic later today.
The Austrian came through his medical on Friday before completing his switch to the Hammers on a five-year deal, which will be confirmed shortly.
Once Hernandez finalises his move early next week it will mean manager Slaven Bilic has secured four of his main targets for the summer.
Latest West Ham news
The club had already snapped up Pablo Zabaleta on a free transfer from Manchester City at the start of the summer.
And their spending may not end there, as the Hammers press ahead with their attempts to sign Badou Ndiaye.
The club club are becoming increasingly confident they have won the race to sign the attacking midfielder from Osmanlispor in Turkey for £8.5m.
Newcastle and Crystal Palace had also been keen on the 26-year-old Senegalese international.
But the Hammers believe they have done enough to persuade Ndiaye to choose them, though a deal is unlikely to be formally agreed until later next week.
