Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish hit with violent conduct three-match ban after kicking Wolves’ Conor Coady at Villa Park
ASTON VILLA star Jack Grealish has been hit with a three match ban for violent conduct during Saturday’s derby clash with Wolves.
The ban rules him out of Villa’s second city derby clash with Birmingham City a week on Sunday.
Grealish took a kick at Wolves midfielder Conor Coady after a challenge between the two during the first half of the 1-1 draw at Villa Park.
But the offence went unseen by ref David Coote and his match officials.
Coady was booked along with Villa striker Ross McCormack who was cautioned for his part in the melee that followed.
Grealish appeared to have escaped punishment but was handed a suspension by the FA after studying video evidence.

This claim was rejected following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing on Tuesday.
Following Saturday’s game, Wolves boss Walter Zenga said he felt Grealish should have been dismissed even though he admires the Villa player.
It is the latest setback for Grealish, 21, who was the subject of an internal investigation earlier this season following a disturbance at a Birmingham hotel.
