Michael Carrick leads chants with travelling Manchester United fans in 1-0 victory over Burnley
Midfielder, who announced his retirement at the end of the season, delighted his own supporters by sitting in the away section at Turf Moor
MANCHESTER UNITED captain Michael Carrick joined his own fans in the stands to watch his side beat Burnley... and even joined in with the chants.
The injured midfielder sat amongst the travelling supporters to see Anthony Martial score the game's only goal.
And the veteran appeared to be loving every minute of it as he sat next to his young son.
Despite donning a woolly hat and black jacket, word quickly spread that Carrick was sitting amongst the United faithful.
Carrick admitted himself he got carried away when chants of "United" rang around the away end.
The 36-year-old was off his seat an warmed up his vocal chords much to the delight of the fellow supporters.
Manchester United tweeted a video of the moment alongside the caption: "Carrick enjoying the away end today!".
And the midfielder responded: "When you get a little carried away supporting the lads."
