Olivier Giroud to stay at Arsenal and fight for his place as he targets World Cup role with France
Striker, 31, has been linked with a January move to Turkish giants Besiktas and Fenerbahce after dropping down the Emirates pecking order
OLIVIER GIROUD will stay and fight for his place at Arsenal.
The France striker, 31, has been linked with a January move to Turkish giants Besiktas and Fenerbahce after dropping down the Emirates pecking order.
But he is happy to see out the season with the Gunners and expects to get enough game time to press his World Cup claims with Les Bleus.
Giroud tweeted a picture of himself advertising a winter beard cream on Wednesday.
And it looks as though the hitman will need to bulk up on supplies in London after also snubbing a mega payday in the Chinese Super League.
Giroud’s advisor Michael Manuello said: “Olivier thinks there is no point in leaving Arsenal just for the sake of it.
