David Silva returns to Manchester City after ‘partner’s pregnancy problem’ but Pep Guardiola fears he could leave again
Pep Guardiola fears key man will fly back to Spain for a second time but insists family comes first
PEP GUARDIOLA fears he could lose David Silva again despite the ace returning for Manchester City's win over Watford.
Silva flew back to Spain last month due to personal problems, missing a number of games in the process.
It’s believed Silva’s partner had been suffering from complications related to her pregnancy.
Silva returned to the starting XI for Tuesday night’s 3-1 win over Watford.
And although his partner is now OK, the 31-year-old looks set to return to his homeland yet again.
But Silva’s absence hasn’t irked his boss, with Guardiola explaining that family comes first every time.

The tactician revealed: “Family is most important. You can see how essential David is to us but I don’t know how long he will be here.
“He is free to go [home] again if he needs to. It doesn’t matter if we get no points while he is away. Family is most important.”

Meanwhile, City remain hopeful of signing Alexis Sanchez this month following Gabriel Jesus’ latest injury setback.
However, Arsenal do not want to sell and are prepared to lose the Chilean for nothing next summer.
