EX-ARSENAL and Chelsea midfielder Lassana Diarra is a shock target for PSG, according to reports.

The French 32-year-old was one of football’s hottest prospects when the signed for the Blues in 2005 but unproductive spells followed at Stamford Bridge, Arsenal and Portsmouth.

The defensive-midfielder became the only player to move from Fratton Park to the Bernabeu when he joined Real Madrid in 2009 where he enjoyed four seasons and three trophies.

But more brief and disappointing spells have followed with stints at Anzi, Lokomotiv Moscow and Marseille followed before he landed at current outpost Al Jazira.

Diarra joined the Arabian Gulf side in April and has started four games for the mid-table side, and ParisUnited claim PSG is his next stop.

Al Jazira want rid this winter as they want to use a member of their foreign quota for a more attacking and affective talent.

There is a hope at the cluc that can come to a financial agreement to get Diarra to leave on amicable terms.

And PSG need cheap, homegrown, midfield reinforcements after blowing £364million on Brazilian Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

PSG sporting director Antero Henrique has no budget to play with this winter, with FFP bosses watching the Ligue 1 side after their summer splurge.

But a free transfer for a Paris-born utility man would be welcome at the Parc des Princes.
