DEMARAI GRAY pounced on a mistake from keeper Nick Pope to bring the Burnley bandwagon to a halt.

The England Under-21 forward was in the right place at the right time after Pope failed to gather a sixth minute cross from the dangerous Riyad Mahrez.

Gray did not know too much about it as the ball went in off his thigh - and he needed treatement after his pace saw him collide with the post as a result.

And Gray - recalled in place of Shinji Okzaki - almost grabbed a second with 19 minutes left as he swept a Wilfried Ndidi shot against the base of the post.

But not only was was Shaun Dyche smarting from a seeing his side’s impressive away record dented, he will also checking on wide man Robbie Brady who was taken off on a stretcher in the 27th minute.

Brady came off worst in a bad challenge on Foxes defender Harry Maguire.

Both players needed treatment but it was Brady in the most pain.

Dyche may have be getting a pub named after him if he takes the Clarets into Europe.

But it was Foxes boss Claude Puel who kept Leicester’s revival going.

The Frenchman has lost just one of his opening six games.

But he will want to make doubly sure Mahrez goes nowhere next month when the transfer window opens.

The blond bombshell - sporting a dazzling new dye job - was unlucky not to score yet another spectacular goal to add to his collection as he brought a save out of Pope from 20 yards after a solo run from the halfway line.

And under-rated winger Marc Albrighton also caused problens and nearly made it two when Pope pushed a shot into the side netting.

Pope was also dummied by a combination of Wes Morgan and Jamie Vardy and Phil Bardsley had to clear off the line.

Impressive Leicester finished strongly - but Burnley never looked out of it and could have levelled on a number of occasions.

On the hour, Johann Gudmundsson broke clear and outpaced Fixes skipper Wes Morgan but keeper Kaper Schmeichel stood his ground to save.
