MANCHESTER UNITED checked in to The Lowry Hotel on Friday evening, as they traditionally do on the eve of every home game.

Supporters gathered outside the hotel to catch a glimpse of their heroes as they arrived at the luxury hotel in central Manchester ahead of their Premier League clash with Brighton on Saturday.

Ibrahimovic was spotted waving and smiling to fans as he climbed the steps as he prepares for a possible return to Jose Mourinho's starting XI.

The Swedish forward was back on the pitch for the first time this season when he came off the bench against Newcastle last weekend and made another substitute appearance in their midweek defeat against Basel.

Also pictured making his way into the hotel was Romelu Lukaku who has seen his role shifted with the return of Ibrahimovic.

The summer signing moved to the right wing to accommodate the return of Ibrahimovic in both of his substitute appearances so far, but the move wide out has not suited the Belgium international.

Jose Mourinho will continue to seek an answer for his envious dilemma of playing both the stars together as his team aims to make up lost ground between their cross-town rivals Manchester City with a win against the Seagulls.

David De Gea is expected back in goal after his exclusion form the Champions League loss on Wednesday - despite travelling to Switzerland the No. 1 was replaced by reserve keeper Sergio Romero.

United will play three league games within a week with clashes against Watford and Arsenal following Brighton.
