Ighalo, 28, is currently said to be earning £190,000 a week in China.

He left the Hornets in a £20million move to join Changchun Yanai LAST January.

But a report in Italy says that Ighalo could soon be back in the Prem.

Watford agreed to let him go at the start of 2017 after the Nigeria international struggled to replicate his form of the previous season.

But he scored just once in 17 games last term, with Hornets owner Gino Pozzo eventually deciding to take the Chinese yuan.

The report also claims that Crystal Palace and West Brom were in the hunt.

But they were put off by Ighalo's financial demands and unable to match the £10m-a-year pay packet he receives in the Chinese Super League.
