Ryan Giggs reveals grief after losing close friend Gary Lloyd who died in stair fall tragedy
Former Manchester United winger has expressed his sorrow over the loss of childhood friend Lloyd who was described as "one in a billion" and worked as a sport and showbiz agent
RYAN GIGGS has said he is "shocked and saddened" after his close friend and football agent Gary Lloyd died.
Lloyd, 47, represented stars across the North West and was involved in local clubs Bury and Rochdale but tragically passed away after falling down stairs at his home.
Former Manchester United superstar Giggs released a joint statement where he described his grief for the agent's family.
Giggs said: "We were childhood friends of Gary's and we are shocked and saddened by the news.
"We want to send our condolences to his mum, dad and daughter Havana. He was a doting father.
"As Reds, we used to go and watch football matches together and we will miss you so much Lloydy."

Tributes were paid by ex-Man City ace Paul Dickov, Wigan’s Alex Bruce and Giggs’s brother Rhodri, who described him as an: “Absolute 1 in a billion guy.”
Dad-of-one Gary, of Worsley, Gtr Manchester, recently represented Bury players.
A North West Ambulance Service confirmed they were called to a private family home at around 1.18pm on Sunday.
A Bury spokesman said today: “The club has awoken this morning to the news that football agent Gary Lloyd has sadly passed away over the weekend.
“Whilst working with the club, Gary quickly became everyone’s best friend with his infectious smile and loveable character.
“His passing over the weekend has shocked everybody, and naturally, the club would like to extend its deepest condolences to his family, along with the many friends that Gary collected over the years.”

“A great friend of the club, Gary was a key part of the backroom staff during the clubs 2014/15 promotion campaign."
Rocahdale FC also paid tribute to Gary saying: "Everyone at Rochdale Football Club is deeply saddened and shocked to learn of the passing of Gary Lloyd over the weekend.
"Not only was Gary the Agent of many of our players, as well as Agent to Manager Keith Hill, he was also a very close friend of many at the club, including the players and backroom staff.
"A loveable character with an infectious smile, he will be very sorely missed around the place."
