Joe Gomez DROPPED bottle of champagne after winning Man of the Match award for England against Brazil
JOE GOMEZ was handed TWO bottles of champagne for his man-of-the-match display against Brazil – after dropping one.
The Liverpool defender impressed on his full England debut keeping the Samba stars at bay during the goalless draw.
But he allowed the sponsors’ bubbly to slip through his fingers after the final whistle at Wembley.
The 20-year-old, making his second appearance for England, was then given a second bottle to make sure he had a memento of the match.
Gomez was convinced to move to Anfield from Charlton for £3.5million by former Kop boss Brendan Rogers in 2015.
And Liverpool will have no problem shelling the extra £250,000 to the League One side after his outstanding full Three Lions bow at Wembley last week.

And Klopp insists Gomez, who was rested for the home win against Southampton can be a Kop mainstay as a centre-back for the next 15 years.
Klopp said: "There is no doubt about that. Joe knows about his little issues but he is still a young lad.
"He has to improve in a lot of parts but of course he is ready. He is a fantastic player.
"He was injured in a time in his life when people are still growing and that is a medical thing. We want to have him for the next 15 years, hopefully.
