Their return would be a big boost as Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho aims to close an eight-point gap on Manchester City — and prepare for next week’s Champions League trip to Basel.

Pogba has missed 12 games since limping out of United’s 3-0 home win over Basel back in September.

The £89million club-record signing had struck up a good understanding with Nemanja Matic in midfield.

And Romelu Lukaku is clearly missing his presence — the Belgian is now without a goal in SEVEN games.

Pogba has worked on his rehabilitation in Miami and at the club’s the Carrington HQ.

Ibra, 36, injured a cruciate knee ligament in April and was initially released but Mourinho convinced him to return and his recovery has deifed the odds.

GO GO ROJO Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo provides Jose Mourinho with huge boost as he returns for Under-21 clash

Fellow striker Lukaku, who arrived in July, said: “Ibrahimovic coming back will help us chase Manchester City.”

The two clubs meet at Old Trafford on December 10.

Argie Marcus Rojo is also close to a return after seven-month knee-ligament lay off.

The defender played 45 minutes for the Under-21s centre half for the under 21 side against Athletic Bilbao in his return to action.

Rojo has been sidelined since April with knee ligament trouble but looked fit in his 45-minute run out.

The South American is hoping for a game in Jose Mourinho’s first team shortly but may cram in a couple more second string appearances first.
