Four reasons why Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave Real Madrid revealed
Portuguese superstar is reported to be unhappy at the Bernabeu and is ready to quit the club
CRISTIANO RONALDO reportedly wants to leave Real Madrid in the summer.
After Los Blancos' 3-1 defeat against Tottenham, the Portuguese hitman revealed he did not want to sign a new contract.
Spanish journalist Edu Aguirre, who works for TV station El Chiringuito, claims the superstar is "angry" with Real Madrid following the deal which is currently on the table.
He is also reported to have told Florentino Perez he wants to leave the club on June 30.
Aguirre also claims Ronaldo has asked the president to allow him to leave for a "reasonable price".
But that the request was unequivocally rejected — and that has only worked to worsen the superstar's anger towards the club.
But AS are now reporting the reasons why the Portuguese superstar wants to leave the club.
Trying to sign Mbappe
BALE BLOW Real Madrid to ‘sell Bale in summer’ and try and replace injury-prone star with Mbappe
According to reports in Spain, Ronaldo was left fuming after Real tried to sign France whizkid Kylian Mbappe.
The Spanish giants tried and failed to lure the striker to the Bernabeu with a £161million bid.
Latest Real Madrid news
Mbappe chose to snub Real and is now at Ligue 1 club PSG.
But Ronaldo is said to be unhappy with the fact the club tried to sign Mbappe who could potentially replace him on the left wing.
Neymar rumours
Brazilian forward Neymar has been linked with a move to Real Madrid.
Real were said to have topped their transfer list with the former Barcelona star.
And that is reported to be another reason why Ronaldo could quit Spain.
Ronaldo sees the club trying to acquire Neymar as replacement for him.
Pay
Ronaldo is one of the highest paid players in the world at Real Madrid.
But Barcelona star and rival Lionel Messi and PSG's Neymar both earn more.
The former Manchester United star earns over £28m a year, but his two rivals rake in an estimated £35m at their clubs.
And even though there is a new offer on the table, Ronaldo is reluctant to sign because he wants to be at least on a par with Messi and Neymar.
Tax
Ronaldo is one of many top footballers to be caught up in a tax case.
The Real Madrid superstar is accused of failing to pay tax on image rights dating back to 2010 - but claimed he "would not be here" if he had a different name.
And the treatment of the four-time Balon d'Or winner by the Spanish courts is reported to be another reason he wants to leave Spain.
