TURKISH giants Fenerbahce want to end Luke Shaw's Manchester United misery, according to reports.

SunSport revealed how the England left-back has been told he is free to leave Old Trafford on loan in January with a view to a permanent deal at the end of the season.

Shaw, 22, hasn't played a Premier League minute this season and has been limited to just two substitute appearances in the League Cup.

His relationship with boss Jose Mourinho has also hit rock bottom with Shaw fearing that his chances of playing at next summer's World Cup are all but gone.

And according to Goal, Fenerbahce are ready to offer him an escape route as they eye a new left-sided defender.

But the Super Lig side aren't the only club in the market for the player.

A number of Premier League clubs are thought to be in the race for his signature including former club Southampton.

Shaw is thought to favour a move back to St Mary's three years after he left for United in a £30million move.

But the move can only happen if the South Coast side decide to sell Ryan Bertrand to Manchester City who are keen to land another left-back with £52million Benjamin Mendy recovering from knee surgery.

Shaw will have just 18 months left when the transfer window re-opens in January.

He has also not given up his dream of playing in the 2018 Russia World Cup for England, if he can get match-fit.

He has made just 32 Premier League appearances for United in the last three years, after making nearly double that for Saints in the same period.
