Ander Herrera wanted by Atletico Madrid as Manchester United midfielder nears end of contract
ANDER HERRERA has reportedly emerged as a target for Atletico Madrid.
The Spain midfielder is out of contract in the summer, althoughManchester United are believed to be ready to trigger a 12-month extension.
AS say that Atletico are circling for Herrera, who has slipped down Jose Mourinho's order since the arrival of Nemanja Matic.
Herrera, 28, was a key part of Mourinho's side that won the League Cup and Europa League last season.
But Matic's signing from Chelsea saw Herrera begin the season as on the bench.
And the former Atletico Bilbao pass master only got into the team with both Paul Pogba and Marouane Fellaini out injured.
