ALBERTO MORENO thought it would be another "f***ed up" season under Jurgen Klopp.

But such has been the turnaround in the relationship with the Liverpool boss that Klopp is now even talking to him in Spanish.

Moreno was out in the cold last season when James Milner was preferred to him.

Things looked even bleaker for the Spanish left-back when Klopp told him he wanted to sign another player in his position before the start of this season.

The Reds boss then landed Andrew Robertson from Hull in a £10million deal.

But Moreno has seen off competition from the Scot to play a full 90 minutes in nine of Reds' opening 11 Prem games.

Moreno explained: "It has been strange. It arrived and I played in everything and at the beginning of the following season I disappeared.

"When I saw that a right-footed midfielder like Milner was the left-back, I thought something was happening.

"He did not give me explanations. Already in summer I saw that the season was going to be f***ed up and that's how it was. I can not find a reason for what happened.

"He told me that the team was fine, that it was true, that he should continue working.

"I did it, but the opportunity did not come. I went to talk to him five or six times and the message was the same, but nothing changed.

"It is a different relationship. I even use words in Spanish! He's helping me a lot, he corrects me and I think it shows.

"I am a more mature player, but also with better defensive reading, with more ability to concentrate - that's what a player wants from his coach.

"My idea was to stay, work and earn my place. I spoke with Klopp, he told me that he could not promise me anything, that he would work and that they would sign a '3'.

"I started from scratch and here we are."
