Arsenal’s Laurent Koscielny and Manchester City star David Silva swap SHORTS after Sunday showdown

ARSENAL star Laurent Koscielny and Manchester City playmaker David Silva took part in a bizarre twist on the old shirt-swapping tradition on Sunday.

The players were trudged down the tunnel towards the dressing rooms after Pep Guardiola's rampant City had beaten the Gunners 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

Koscielny and Silva walked side-by-side, clearly keen to grab a memento from the game from each other.

The only problem was... they had already appeared to have swapped their shirts.

The Premier League stars opted to "wait until they were out of the camera shot"... before bizarrely swapping SHORTS.

The only problem for Koscielny and Silva was, the camera had panned around 180 degrees and they were smack-bang in the middle of the shot.

They're then seen marching towards their separate changing areas in just their boxers and socks.

Earlier in the game, goals from Kevin De Bruyne, Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus had gifted City a comfortable win.

Substitute Alexandre Lacazette had pulled one back for the Gunners, but in truth they were no match for Pep's men.

The win saw the Etihad side move EIGHT points clear at the top of the Premier League, ahead of rivals Manchester United, who themselves lost 1-0 away to Chelsea.

Was Manchester City's David Silva offside in the build up to Gabriel Jesus' goal against Arsenal?

Meanwhile, Arsenal fans were not happy with what Alexis Sanchez did after the Manchester City game.

The Chilean forward went straight over to City coach Mikel Arteta and hugged him, ahead of his potential January move to the Etihad.

Many believe the stunt is just the latest in a string of hints Sanchez will be joining City - either in January or in the summer.

Sanchez is out of contract at the Emirates Stadium in July 2018.
