REFEREE Bobby Madley had to be SUBSTITUTED during the Stoke vs Leicester clash at the bet365 Stadium.
Fourth official Bobby Madley was the replacement for the 32-year-old after he picked up a calf injury midway through the first half.
The match had to be halted for three minutes as the referee's injury forced the first change of the clash.
Cries of 'You're not fit to referee' rang around from fans inside the stadium as he took his place in the dugout.
Madley in turn became the new fourth official as the Potters and Foxes went to war in the opening period.
Claude Puel's side took the lead shortly after the substitution as Vicente Iborra netted his first goal for the former Premier League champions in the 33rd minute.
The ex-Sevilla star lashed the ball home beyond Jack Butland inside the box, after the ball fell to his feet from a Riyad Mahrez corner.
And they should have doubled their lead when Mahrez and Vardy raced through on goal, but the Algerian playmaker delayed his pass to the English striker, as Kurt Zouma recovered in time to put in a challenge.

Leicester then thought they had doubled their lead again when Iborra header over the bar, as the midfielder raced onto a delightful cross from Demarai Gray.
And they were made to rue for their missed opportunities when Xherdan Shaqiri fired Stoke back on level terms in the 39th minute.
