Antonio Conte has picked up 11 FEWER points after 48 games in charge of Chelsea than Sunday’s opponent Jose Mourinho
Now-Manchester United boss Mourinho lost just once in his first 48 outings... with Blues chief Conte losing EIGHT already
IN arguably this weekend's biggest clash, Manchester United travel to West London to take on Chelsea in the Premier League.
While the game itself is a big enough talking point, the showdown has an intriguing sub-plot, as Jose Mourinho returns to Stamford Bridge.
The Special One, 54, spent nearly six years across two spells at the Blues - first between 2004 and 2007, then against between 2013 and 2015.
While he was revered by Blues fans, he hardly left on good terms.
Having clinched the Premier League title in the 2014-15 season, Mourinho penned a new four-year contract at Stamford Bridge.
However, after a very public spat with first-team doctor Eva Carneiro and having guided Chelsea to nine losses from their first 16 games, Mourinho faced the swinging axe.
The Blues were taken over by Carlo Ancelotti on an interim basis, with Antonio Conte named as Mourinho's official replacement.
But which manager got off to the better start in control of the Premier League giants?

Conte has now overseen 48 Premier League games in charge of Chelsea, picking up 112 points in that span.
However, despite winning the league title in his first season, that record is far inferior to Mourinho's first 48 matches.

In the same time period, the Portuguese chief amassed 123 points, winning 38 times while losing just ONCE.
Conte on the other hand has already overseen EIGHT Premier League losses while in West London, to go with 36 wins.
While Mourinho may have the upper-hand on that front, United have it all to do when they visit Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
After all, the Old Trafford outfit have only won TWICE in 22 games this century in London...
