Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho insists his dream in football is to take over team managed by Jose Mourinho
Special One claims he left Real Madrid in perfect position and insists he will do same when he decides to leave Old Trafford
JOSE MOURINHO insists his dream in football is to manage a team he inherited...from Jose Mourinho!
The modest Manchester United manager failed to take Real Madrid past the semi-finals of the Champions League during his three seasons there — but they have since won it three times in four years.
And he claims he left his successor the perfect side to dominate Europe, and insists he will do the same with United.
Speaking to L'Equipe magazine Sport&Style, he said: "I would have love to arrive at Real Madrid at the time I left them.
"I would like to arrive at Manchester United just when I decide to go.
"Why? To take over a team managed by Mourinho — what a dream!"
While in Spain, the self-proclaimed Special One overcame Pep Guardiola's great Barcelona team to win La Liga with a record 100 points in 2011-12.
But they failed to succeed in Europe, reaching the Champions League semi-finals three seasons in a row.
Yet, he believes he left Real Madrid in the perfect position for successor Carlo Ancelotti to win triumph in the continent.
He added: "When I left, Real Madrid were ready to explode.
