Nikola Vlasic’s sister, former world high jump champion Blanka, slams Everton stand-in boss David Unsworth
Blanka posted on Twitter that her brother Nikola was 'not injured' which will lead to people questioning why he did not play against Leicester
NIKOLA VLASIC'S sister and former world high jump champion Blanka has laughed off suggestions he was injured for the loss to Leicester.
The 20-year-old Croatian striker has been one of the better players in recent games for the struggling Toffees, and was expected to feature against the Foxes.
Yet he failed to make the squad, and Everton went on to lose 2-0 as they remain firmly rooted in the relegation zone.
Vlasic did miss the Carabo Cup loss in midweek to Chelsea after suffering a knock in the previous defeat to Arsenal.
But his sister Blanko has taken to Twitter to refute any claim that he was "injured", and even went on to start the hash tag "vlasicnotinjured".
She was asked how bad his injury was by saying the "heavy bruise" had "gone already and that he was "good and ready".
She then said that the "dilemma" should be "put to rest" and added "#vlasicnotinjured".
It will only increase pressure on caretaker boss David Unsworth who has struggled to turn around the club's fortunes since he replaced sacked Ronald Koeman.
CARL-NO Carlo Ancelotti rules out return to Chelsea and snubs Everton by declaring he will only come back to football next season
Blanko is a sports star in her own right having won bronze at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio and a silver at Beijing 2008 in the high jump.
She is also the Croatian record holder in the event and former indoor World Champion.

SunSport reported earlier how Carlo Ancelotti has shot down talk of taking the Everton job after confirming his plans to put his feet up until next season.
The Italian was fired by Bayern Munich last month after the humiliating Champions League loss at Paris Saint-Germain.
Ancelotti told Italy's Radio Anch'Io Sport: "I get linked with a new club every day. Recently it was Chelsea.
"That angered my friend Antonio Conte, I am often in touch with him, and there is no truth in the rumour.

"Since then there has also been talk of me coaching the Chinese national team, or managing Everton.
"But at the moment I don't know what my future will be.
"Let's talk about it again next June. Right now I am going to take a rest."
