CRYSTAL PALACE fans made their feelings well and truly known after being thrashed by Bristol City.

The Eagles fans had traveled to Ashton Gate with the hope of seeing a similar performance to the one they saw against Chelsea.

But there was no sign of such attacking prowess, with Roy Hodgson's side - minus Wilfried Zaha - humiliated by a Robins onslaught, with Lee Johnson's side going on to win 4-1.

And to thank the fans for making the trip down the M4 to the West Coutry, Pape Souare threw his shirt into the crowd.

Yet as this viral video shows, the fans were so unimpressed with the performance, they simply tossed the jersey back at him.

Twitter user Tom said: "Disappointing to see, Pape Souare throws top into crowd only for it to be thrown back #cpfc."

Although the shirt itself being thrown back was not recorded, the 27-year-old picked it up off the pitch and did not look impressed.

Other than beating Chelsea, Palace have had a nightmarish season, with their only Premier League win and goals coming against the champions, while they were beaten 1-0 by Newcastle over the weekend.

The Eagles remain rock bottom of the table on three points and have fellow strugglers West Ham at home over the weekend.

Hodgson said: "It was an opportunity for them to knock on the door of the first team and threaten the places of the team I have played in the last two games.

"So I am bitterly disappointed that didn't work out because there were very few performances that made me think I was picking the wrong team.

"For the 10 players at home, it is anything other than a setback. It just cements their place in the team and cements the fact I am choosing the right team at the moment.

"It is a massive setback for one or two players out there who came into the team, were brought into the club at quite a lot of expense, one or two of them, in order to be better than the so-called first-team players, and they didn't take the opportunity."
