Croatia want Carlo Ancelotti for World Cup adventure after his Bayern Munich sacking — if they get past Greece in play-offs

CROATIA are looking to sign up Carlo Ancelotti for the 2018 World Cup, according to reports in Italy.
The former AC Milan and Chelsea manager was recently sacked by Bayern Munich after an underwhelming start to the campaign.
But he could soon be back in management with La Gazzetta dello Sport reporting Croatia are looking at him for the World Cup — if they can beat Greece in a play-off.
Luka Modric and Co. finished second in their group behind Iceland, and only reached the play-offs after a 2-0 victory over Ukraine in the final match.
A dismal 1-1 draw at home to Finland in the penultimate match cost Ante Cacic his job.
Zlatko Dalic oversaw the vital win over Ukraine, and will take charge of the play-off double-header against Greece.
However, they would like some more experience should they reach Russia — and have an ambitious plan to lure the three-time Champions League-winning boss.
Ancelotti has an incredible CV, but has never managed at international level.

He has managed in all of Europe's top five leagues, winning titles in four.
A return to Milan, where he won the Champions League twice — both as a player and manager — had been mooted.
