Carlo Ancelotti returns to Chelsea for Champions League clash against Roma
Italian manager won the Premier League and FA Cup during two seasons in charge of the Blues
CARLO ANCELOTTI has returned to Chelsea - as a spectator for their Champions League clash with Roma.
The Italian manager won the Double in his first season at Stamford Bridge.
But as a player he lifted the Serie A title and claimed the Copa Italia four times in his eight years at Roma.
Exactly who Ancelotti, 58, will be cheering on is not known, but he is not letting any split allegiances spoil the European showdown.
He uploaded a picture of himself in the stands, captioned: "It's a pleasure to return to Stamford Bridge to enjoy a great Champions match #ucl #cfc #chelsea #asroma."
Bayern Munich sacked Ancelotti last month following a 3-0 drubbing in Paris.
He has been linked with a number of clubs since, with ambitious Leicester reportedly keen on luring him to the King Power.
In fact, Wikipedia have already pencilled him in as the next Foxes boss.

Ancelotti told Sky Sport Italia: "For the next ten months I will relax, I will not coach another team."

On his sacking at Bayern, he added: "It's better to stay quiet on that."
Jupp Heynckes, who led the Bavarian club to the treble in 2013, has been appointed interim manager.
Bayern chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said: "The performance of our team since the start of the season did not meet the expectations we put to them.
"I would like to thank Carlo for his cooperation. Carlo is my friend and will remain my friend, but we had to make a professional decision. The game in Paris clearly showed that we had to draw consequences."
