Chelsea vs Roma: Alvaro Morata trains for the third day straight ahead of Champions League clash
The Blues striker has stepped up his return after picking up a hamstring injury while away with Spain
ALVARO MORATA appears ready for Roma after training for the third day in a row.
The Chelsea striker has stepped up his return after picking up a hamstring injury while away with Spain.
Blues missed him badly as Michy Batshuayi struggled in the defeat to Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Antonio Conte said before the game that he expected Morata to be back for the Champions League clash at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday.
And Morata looked poised to make his comeback after taking a full part in Conte's preparations.
Blues have won their opening two matches against Qarabag and Atletico Madrid.
Blues skipper Gary Cahill is backing Morata to help Blues bounce back from the Palace defeat on his return against Roma.
Morata has netted seven goals in nine games since making a £65million switch from Real Madrid.
Cahill said: "He is back out on the pitch and hopefully he keeps progressing okay.
